Safe Walkway Installation at Clapham Depot

The challenge

The existing access route presented uneven surfaces and trip hazards, posing risks to both staff and visitors. The depot required a durable, low-maintenance, and non-slip pedestrian route that would remain safe in all weather conditions while integrating seamlessly with ongoing operations.

The solution

Following a detailed site survey, Infrastruct North collaborated with Dura Composites to design a bespoke walkway using the Dura Grating Waffle Board system – a robust, anti-slip composite solution engineered for heavy-duty industrial use.

A team of four Infrastruct North engineers, led by Project Lead, Jamie Burt, completed the installation over a single weekend shutdown. This approach ensured safety improvements were achieved without impacting the depot’s operational schedule.

The newly installed walkway provides:
